Are You Ready?

The NBA Playoffs start this weekend and the road to the finals will once again run through San Antonio. So thinking about the NBA got me thinking, how good would Reggie McNeil have been if he had decided to go pro in basketball instead of football. The answer has to be the second greatest aggie basketball player of all time, we all know who the first is Bucky Richardson. Though Bucky never went pro his skills were highly revered among everyone in the basketball world. So Reggie would be the greatest basketball player from Texas A&M to ever go pro. Then you must advance to where would he rank among the all time great pro ball players. Here is how I would rank'em:
1. Of Course this one is no contest, the greatest basketball player of all time is without a doubt Michael Jordan. Not many people would be able to argue with this one. Air as he is known to all of the people that drop hundreds of dollars on his apparel, had super mad hops and a competetive fire not seen since the likes of Quentin Coryatt (who it is widely know once broke a quarterbacks jaw on a vicious hit, the quarterback's facemask was unable to withstand the impact of the QC-Express).

2. Number two was a no brainer as well, Johnny Kilroy. Incase you did not know this was just Michael Jordan in disguise. He would be tied with the real Jordan except his career was short lived.

3. This spot is alot harder but Wilt the Stilt has to be third. The only stat you need is 10,000; Wow.

4. I would have give the nod to Dee Brown, former Celtic great. The Reebok Pumps the no look dunk this guy was just sick.

5.(tie) This would be where Reggie would fall if not for Harold "Baby Jordan" Miner. Come on the guy's nickname was Baby Jordan so he had to be one of the greatest players of all time, people don't just get nicknames with no validation required; right?. Harold used to drive me nuts because he would lick his fingers and then swipe the bottoms of his shoes, that was insane he did it like 19 times a game. Now after groing up and playing semi-professional sports I realise that he was just cleaning them so that he could fake his opponents out of their jocks with his uncanny ability to stick to the floor. Instead if giving Harold the nod over Reggie I will just make this a tie. Rumor has it that Reggie once dunked a ball from the college three point line, with BOTH hands! What an athlete.

Reggie would then be in the top 6 all time greats of the NBA. Oh well I guess that is just a dream, we are just going to have to sit back and watch him revolutionize the NFL with his own special brand of Hall of Fame caliber football.
