10. The Avengers - Emma Peel, the only explanation that is needed.
9. The Little Rascals/Our Gang - Great for any generation, I am pretty sure my Dad watched
them and I know I did. What a great show!
8. The Rifleman - There was nothing like sitting around on a lazy Saturday afternoon watching
Lucas McCain and his son Mark fight evil in there wild west town
7. Airwolf - Ernest Borgnign's best role ever. The same for Jan Michael Vincent.
6. Knight Rider - When you are 9 there is nothing better than a fast car that talks.
5. Boy Meets World - They tackled subjects that no one would dare touch and they had
Topanga.
4. The Real World - Inventor of the reality genre, still the best
3. Married with Children - I believe the longest running non-animated sitcom in history
2. Baywatch - We Germans love David Hasselhoff and boobs all over the place, this show had
plenty of both.
1. Hogan's Heroes - The greatest show ever in my opinion, plus it had a mysterious murder of
its sexaholic star. Pure Hollywood greatness.

Airwolf. Okay... I get the fact that Seinfeld isn't in your top ten... but... AIRWOLF. That's just insulting. There are twenty shows better than Airwolf and I don't even have to dip into the sci-fi category... which really means there are more like thirty shows better than Airwolf. ...AIRWOLF?
Name them, do your own list. Don't mock mine without one of your own. As the great chinese philosopher once said, it is easy to say no until you have once said yes. I think that applies here greatly.
Hey, didn't mean to offend. I'm just a little surprised, that's all. I actually agree with some from your listing. I guess I'm a little jaded since I've been watching old episodes of my favorite cartoons from my past. GIJoe and D&D sepcifically. They just aren't as good as I remember and it makes me sad.
Not exactly the response I was going for but, a win is a win.
"A win is a win?" Okay, okay, okay. Having back-peddled only slightly I will name 30 tv shows I think are better than Airwolf (in no particular order). Keep in mind I do like others from your list. Please note that only ten of these will be Sci-Fi as stated in my original comment.
1. Farscape
2. Doctor Who
3. Battlestar Galacica (new)
4. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
5. Alias
6. Lost
7. The X-Files
8. Quantum Leap
9. Star Trek (NG)
10. Mork and Mindy
11. The Office
12. My Name is Earl
13. The Unit
14. Seinfeld
15. Scrubs
16. House
17. Coupling (British version)
18. The Practice
19. Boston Legal
20. Cheers
21. M.A.S.H.
22. The Wonder Years
23. Hogan's Heroes
24. Magnum P.I.
25. Charlie's Angels
26. Moonlighting
27. WKRP in Cincinnati
28. Remington Steele
29. Three's Company
30. All in the Family
Ok so I may have forgotten about buffy the vampire slayer, since I have only recently gotten into it. Airwolf had loads more content than many of those other shows save Hogans Heroes which I put number one on my list. So in retrospect Buffy might replace airwolf, might.
See I can't put the office on there because I only used American produced/made shows in my list and I would consider the office non-American. I support America and I am not sure why you are trying to force your America hating views onto me. I am, as I write this, waving an American flag and singing our National Anthem and Texas our Texas, in your face CyberD! Go America the greatest country in the World!
Well, one out of thirty aint bad. By "loads more content" what exactly do you mean? Content is a very broad term. If by episodes... perhaps you are right. I don't know how long Airwolf ran but I imagine there are a few shows on my list that were either cut-down in their prime or are brand new on the air that don't have many episodes to go off of. But I don't rank a show's content based on volume. If by content you mean quality plot lines, story, and over-arching character development. I would beg to differ GREATLY. I will admit that my exposure to Airwolf was very limited and was twenty years ago, so I'd have to see some eps to truly give it a fair chance. But, there are sooooo many good shows with great storylines and character development that a vast majority of shows from the 70s and 80s can't compete with the level of sophistication developed in the writing in the 90s and the 00s.
So by American do you mean to tell me the American version of Office can't make your list even though the departure from the original British version is so vast that they are hardly distinguishable?
And BTW... I call bull-shit on thsi American restriction. NOT mentioned in your orignial post. Go France!
I just thought it was understood because of what a great patriot I am. I also did not include any HBO or cable only shows because they are not widely viewed and some people can't and won't have a chance to see them. If I had included those alot of my list would have been bumped. Go USA!
You still haven't answered my question about your definition of content... and Go Prussia!
